We believe that some of life’s best experiences lie just outside the city, waiting to be discovered. Our mission is to bring people closer to nature, culture, and a community of like-minded travelers

Ameeshi Goenka

FOUNDER OF ABC

I’m Ameeshi Goenka, the passionate eco-tour operator and founder of ABC – Around Big Cities (formerly Around Bangalore City). I’d like to share a bit about my journey and our mission.

Although I was born in Kolkata, I moved to Bangalore with my family in 2002. Bangalore quickly became home, nurturing me through school, design college, and my career. I’ve always felt a deep urge to give back and help others feel at home, even when they’re far from it. My goal has been to create opportunities for people to connect with themselves and others, explore natural surroundings, and engage in cultural experiences.

With over 100 treks completed across India and internationally, and having traveled to 15 countries, I’ve immersed myself in history, archaeology, mythology, and festivals. These experiences have inspired me to share this sense of wonder with others, helping them embrace life with the same enthusiasm I’ve found.

In 2016, my mother Suman Goenka and I launched ABC. Suman, who has a deep love for nature and outdoor activities, became an inspiration for many with her adventurous spirit. ABC has evolved with the support of dedicated travelers and contributors who have been instrumental in our growth.

ABC is dedicated to adventure and cultural enrichment. We’ve served over 1,000 participants of all ages and backgrounds through numerous corporate events and city-based activities across India. Our vision is to offer unique experiences that foster self-discovery and cultural appreciation, supported by meticulous research and personal insight.

Our dynamic team specializes in trekking, event planning, corporate experiences, and more, each member bringing their expertise to our projects. We actively collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to continuously grow and enhance our offerings.

It was really fun. We had over 6 activities and it was decently tiring and involved everyone, people won a lot and it was a great experience.
